About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting located in Playa Del Rey, California. The assignment is for 17 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week. The shift is 5x8 days, from 08:00 to 16:30. The role involves supporting a supervising physical therapist in providing care to LTAC residents within a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a LTAC/Skilled Nursing Facility setting.
• Willingness to commit to a 17-week travel assignment.
• Availability to work 35 guaranteed hours per week.
• Eligibility to work in California and ability to meet facility policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support the supervising physical therapist in implementing the plan of care for LTAC residents.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, range-of-motion activities, strengthening, and balance interventions as directed.
• Monitor patient responses during therapy, document progress, and communicate changes to the care team.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and activities of daily living within the LTAC/SNF setting.
• Maintain safety and infection control standards during therapy sessions and ensure equipment is used properly.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate documentation, discharge planning, and rehabilitation goals.
