About The Position
Rehab Associates, partnered with Barren Ridge PT, is seeking a Physical Therapist for its outpatient clinics in Central Virginia. The role assesses patients, develops individualized treatment plans, provides physical therapy treatments, documents care, and coordinates with patients, caregivers, physicians, insurance companies, assistants, and rehabilitation technicians. The position includes opportunities to develop specialty practices, supported by mentorship and continuing education. Compensation is $83,000–$95,000, with profit sharing and a $10,000 relocation assistance and sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Physical Therapy program.
- Current Virginia Physical Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain one before employment.
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans in an outpatient setting.
- Ability to work independently while managing a diverse patient caseload.
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and patient education skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and standard Microsoft Office applications.
Nice To Haves
- Experience or interest in outpatient orthopedic care, including balance and vestibular rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results.
- Review physician referrals, patient conditions, and medical records to determine required physical therapy treatment.
- Provide direct patient care according to established protocols and patient care guidelines.
- Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers.
- Be responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
- Prepare written plans of care, establish goals based on evaluation findings, and develop comprehensive programs to attain those goals.
- Implement physical therapy treatment programs and provide necessary treatments.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, professional colleagues, physicians, and insurance companies.
- Complete timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers’ compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
