About The Position

Rehab Associates is hiring a Physical Therapist to provide outpatient care at one of its clinics in Central Virginia. The therapist evaluates patients, develops and implements individualized treatment plans, provides physical therapy treatments, and documents patient progress and care. The role also includes responsibility for care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians, and communication with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies. The position offers opportunities to develop specialty practices, including Pelvic Health, Vestibular, Concussion, Spine, TMJ, and Foot & Ankle. Requirements

Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
Current Virginia state license or ability to obtain one.
CPR certification.
Ability to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation treatment plans.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in an autonomous environment.
Basic PC skills and knowledge, including electronic medical record systems, database software, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results.
Review physician referrals, patient conditions, and medical records to determine required physical therapy treatment.
Provide direct patient care according to established protocols and patient care guidelines.
Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers.
Oversee patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
Complete written plans of care, set goals based on evaluation findings, and develop comprehensive programs to attain those goals.
Implement physical therapy treatment programs and provide essential physical therapy treatments.
Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, professional colleagues, physicians, and insurance companies.
Complete timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
