Physical Therapist -Flat Rate PRN
About The Position
IU Health Tipton Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital with a therapy team providing specialized and generalized physical therapy interventions. This PRN position supports the team during periods of high census and planned or unplanned absences, and includes a rotating weekend schedule for acute care. The therapist provides inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain, prevent disability following disease or injury, and help patients reach maximum performance levels. The role includes all components of direct patient care, supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel, and students, and participation in activities supporting patient care, education, and department operations. The position is located at Tipton Hospital in Tipton, Indiana.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy, or a bachelor's or master's degree in physical therapy obtained prior to 2016.
- For foreign-trained applicants, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the United States with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
- Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Advanced life support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient care policies.
Responsibilities
