Physical Therapist -Flat Rate PRN
About The Position
IU Health Tipton Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital with a therapy team providing specialized and general physical therapy interventions. This PRN position supports the team during periods of high census and planned or unplanned absences, with a rotating weekend schedule for acute care. The therapist provides inpatient and outpatient services to restore function, reduce pain, prevent disability following disease or injury, and help patients reach their maximum performance levels. The role also includes supervising physical therapist assistants, support personnel, and students, and participating in activities that support patient care, education, and department operations. The position is based at Tipton Hospital in Tipton, Indiana.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy, or a bachelor's or master's degree in physical therapy earned before 2016.
- For foreign-trained applicants, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the United States with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
- Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Advanced life support certifications may be required according to unit or department specialty and patient care policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain, prevent disability following disease or injury, and help patients reach maximum performance levels.
- Provide all components of direct patient care.
- Supervise physical therapist assistants, support personnel, and students.
- Participate in related activities that support patient care, education, and department operations.
- Support the team during high census and planned or unplanned absences.
- Participate in a rotating weekend schedule for acute care.
