About The Position

IU Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide inpatient occupational therapy services at West Hospital in Avon, Indiana. The role treats physical and psychological dysfunctions through direct patient care and activities designed to help patients regain physical or mental functioning. The position is PRN and flat rate. Availability for one weekend day per month is required, and some weekday availability is preferred. The Occupational Therapist supervises occupational therapy assistants, support personnel, and students as appropriate, and participates in activities supporting patient care, education, and department operations. Requirements

Master's degree from an accredited academic program in occupational therapy, or, for foreign-trained applicants, graduation from an occupational therapy education program outside the United States with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
Current license in the State of Indiana.
Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Availability to work one weekend day per month; some weekday availability is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
Advanced life support certifications may be required depending on unit or department specialty and patient care policies.

Responsibilities
