About The Position

Functional Pathways is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist at Mennowood Retirement Community in Newport News, Virginia. The community is a nonprofit continuing-care setting offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The therapist will work in a collaborative, wellness-focused environment providing holistic, patient-centered care across the continuum of care. Functional Pathways uses evidence-based programs addressing neurological, cardiopulmonary, cognitive, and musculoskeletal needs, with specialty offerings that include aquatic therapy and non-invasive interventions. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday and offers an hourly rate of $42.00–$58.00 and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for direct applicants.

The Physical Therapist screens, evaluates and re-evaluates patients, develops discharge plans, and revises established plans of care under physician supervision. The therapist may supervise Physical Therapy Assistants. Full-time team members can access company-paid CEUs through MedBridge and training and certification in specialty programs through CORE4+ and Wellness offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Certification and licensure as established by state and national board associations.
• Active state license.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current working knowledge of Functional Pathways policies and procedures and clinical programs, with application skills relevant to therapy disciplines.
• Completion of all required screenings, certifications, and licensure; screening requirements may vary by location.
