Full-time Physical Therapist
About The Position
The Physical Therapist works at The Glebe Retirement Community in Daleville, Virginia, as part of Functional Pathways’ therapy team. The role provides therapy services across a continuum of care in a supportive, wellness-focused environment. The Glebe is a nonprofit Life Plan community on a 65-acre campus, providing independent living, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing services. The Physical Therapist screens, evaluates, and re-evaluates patients, develops discharge plans, and revises established plans of care under physician supervision. Functional Pathways describes its care as holistic and patient-centered, addressing neurological, cardiopulmonary, cognitive, and musculoskeletal needs, with evidence-based programs and treatments that may include aquatic therapy and non-invasive interventions. The position is full time, follows a Monday–Friday schedule plus one weekend day per month, and offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus to direct applicants only.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
- Active state license and certification and licensure as required by state and national board associations.
- Complete all required screenings, certifications, and licensure requirements; screening requirements may vary by location.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current working knowledge of Functional Pathways policies and procedures and clinical programs, with application skills relevant to therapy disciplines.
- Ability to supervise Physical Therapy Assistants.
