About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting located in Juneau, Alaska. The role is a temporary assignment starting on 09/22/2026 and lasting for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The setting is a community mental health provider delivering outpatient PT services. Please note that housing and flights are not provided by the employer.

Requirements

• Active Alaska Physical Therapist license at time of submission; must maintain throughout the assignment
• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; or approved equivalent with documented experience per the input standards
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Flu vaccination current or on file
• Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehab
• Valid driver’s license
• Eligibility to work in the listed setting and environment

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive PT evaluations and treatments for a wide range of ages, developing and implementing plans of care with measurable goals; adjust therapy plans based on patient response.
• Oversee and direct the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated staff; participate in care conferences and regular team rounds; collaborate with referring providers for ongoing patient needs and discharge planning.
• Document patient encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress, and prognoses in the electronic record in accordance with organizational policies.
• Provide patient and family education, including clear home exercise programs and return demonstrations to ensure understanding and independence.
• Assist with equipment selection/fit, coordinate care and clinic operations, and maintain a clean, compliant clinical space; participate in interdepartmental education and quality improvement activities.
