About The Position

The Physical Therapist works in a skilled nursing setting, evaluating and treating patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological events, cardiac conditions, and general deconditioning. The therapist develops individualized treatment plans and collaborates with nursing, physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to help patients reach their highest level of independence. Caseloads are described as manageable, and clinicians are supported in using evidence-based care.

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree from an accredited PT program.
• Current or eligible for New York State PT license.
• Passion for geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat skilled nursing patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological events, cardiac conditions, and general deconditioning.
