About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide patient-centered care in Pensacola, Florida. The role serves the Pensacola coverage area and is full-time. The position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates only.

The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients in their homes based on physician orders, develops measurable goals and treatment plans, and works with patients toward their greatest possible independence and function. The role includes communicating with the treatment team, physicians, patients, and families; documenting services promptly and thoroughly for billing; and supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides in accordance with the state practice act.

The role offers flexible scheduling options, independent work with team support, and one-to-one patient care. A level 2 background screening is required under Florida’s state background screening process.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Physical Therapist education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Florida.
• American Heart Association CPR certification; CPR certification may be offered and completed upon hire.
• Two years of experience in adult physical therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
• Physical therapy skills as specified by the competency checklist.
• Successful completion of a level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients according to physician orders, including recommending and procuring adaptive equipment.
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to help patients reach their maximum level of independence and function.
• Maintain communication among the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services provided to support proper billing.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
