About The Position

PeteHealth brings physical therapy into yoga and Pilates studios. The role is for California-licensed physical therapists who already teach yoga or Pilates and want to treat clients in the studios where they work. Physical therapy sessions are billed to clients’ commercial health plans when they have a prescription and plan of care, and clients pay their usual copay. Clients may come from an instructor’s classes or private practice, or be referred by PeteHealth. Clients obtain a prescription from their physician or through a telemedicine visit arranged by PeteHealth. PeteHealth verifies insurance, handles intake, billing, collections, and records, and pays the therapist by direct deposit for each covered visit. Therapists evaluate clients, establish plans of care, and treat them in a studio, a client’s home, or the therapist’s home. They continue teaching their classes as usual.
