About The Position

PeteHealth brings physical therapy into yoga and Pilates studios. The role is for California-licensed physical therapists who already teach yoga or Pilates and want to provide physical therapy in the studios where they work, while continuing to teach their classes. Covered sessions are billed to clients’ commercial health plans when the client has a prescription and plan of care; PeteHealth handles insurance verification, intake, billing, collections, and records. Therapists are paid by direct deposit for each covered visit. Clients may be existing class participants, private clients, or people referred by PeteHealth. PeteHealth helps arrange a physician prescription or telemedicine visit when needed. The therapist evaluates the client, develops a plan of care, and provides treatment in the studio, the client’s home, or the therapist’s home. PeteHealth supports studio setup, trains therapists on its documentation system, and credentials them under PeteHealth’s insurance contracts. Therapists choose how much time to devote to covered sessions.
