About The Position

PeteHealth brings physical therapy into yoga and Pilates studios. The role is for California-licensed physical therapists who already teach yoga or Pilates and want to treat clients in the studios where they work. Physical therapy sessions are billed to clients’ commercial health plans when clients have a prescription and plan of care; clients pay their usual copay. Clients may come from the therapist’s classes, private practice, or PeteHealth referrals. PeteHealth verifies insurance and handles intake. The therapist evaluates clients, establishes a plan of care, and provides treatment in a studio, the client’s home, or the therapist’s home. PeteHealth handles billing, collections, and records, and pays the therapist by direct deposit for each covered visit. Therapists continue teaching their existing classes and choose how much time to devote to covered sessions.
