About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide care for a diverse patient population. The role focuses on direct patient care and on planning and implementing individualized treatment programs according to the principles and practices of physical therapy within the PAM Health System. The PTA works under the direction of a Physical Therapist and may contribute to further development of services. Flexibility to meet system needs across different facilities is required. PAM Health provides specialty healthcare services for chronically and critically ill patients who may require extended hospital care.
Requirements
- Hold a PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Have current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience is ideal; alternatively, a desire and commitment to learn is welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices and PAM Health System standards.
- Participate in the further development of services.
- Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
