About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide care to a diverse population of chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The role focuses on direct patient care and on planning and implementing individualized treatment programs according to physical therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health System. The PTA also contributes to further development of the services and must be flexible to meet system needs across different facilities. The position is full-time, day shift, at Overland Park Rehab. Prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learn is welcomed.

Requirements

• Current PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
• Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience is preferred.
• Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to physical therapy principles and practices in the PAM Health System.
• Participate in the further development of services.
• Remain flexible to meet system needs across different facilities.
