About The Position

PAM Health is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for its new Dallas rehabilitation hospital. The PTA will care for a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The role is primarily responsible for direct patient care and for planning and implementing individual treatment programs according to Physical Therapy principles and PAM Health practices. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA will also contribute to the further development of services and must be flexible to meet system needs across different facilities. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, but a commitment and desire to learn is also considered.

Requirements

• PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
• Current BLS certification.

• One year of clinical experience is preferred.
• Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to Physical Therapy principles and PAM Health practices.
• Contribute to the further development of services.
• Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
