About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to care for its diverse patient population. The role focuses on patients with chronic and critical illnesses who require extended hospital care. Candidates should have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA provides direct patient care and plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with Physical Therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health System. The PTA also contributes to the further development of services and must be flexible in meeting system needs across different facilities. This is a full-time day position at Centennial Hills Rehab. PAM Health describes its work environment as collaborative, with opportunities to work alongside colleagues and leadership and gain exposure to a variety of patient-care levels.
Requirements
- Hold a PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Have current BLS certification.
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the system within different facilities.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to Physical Therapy principles and practices in the PAM Health System.
- Contribute to the further development of services.
- Remain flexible to meet system needs across different facilities.
