About The Position
PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Wausau is seeking a full-time, day-shift Physical Therapist Assistant to care for its diverse patient population. PAM Health cares for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The ideal candidate has prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA provides direct patient care and plans and implements treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with Physical Therapy principles and practices within the PAM Health System. The role also contributes to the further development of services and requires flexibility to meet the needs of the system across different facilities. Potential relocation assistance of up to $3,000 may be available, based on skills and current location.
Requirements
- PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification.
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients according to Physical Therapy principles and practices in the PAM Health System.
