About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Physical Security Captain in West Palm Beach, Florida, to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. The role supervises physical security department personnel and oversees training, reporting, emergency response coordination, parking administration, and Pass & ID functions. The Captain also serves as Lenel administrator and assumes the duties of the Physical Security Chief in that person's absence. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 5 years of related experience working as a manager or supervisor in a military, civilian, industrial security, or comparable environment.
Meet minimum physical standards, including the ability to perform normal or emergency duties requiring physical exertion such as standing, walking, driving, or jumping for extended periods.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent skills or mastery of the Microsoft Office suite.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the Lenel OnGuard program for badging and hardware troubleshooting.
Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or higher degree in Criminal Justice or an equivalent degree.
At least 5 years of experience working in a government secure environment responsible for handling and protecting classified assets and media.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a training program structured for compliance with U.S. Navy and Amentum directives; evaluate, track, and document training.
Supervise department personnel, including scheduling and performance-related actions.
Respond to emergencies as required and act as Hurricane Coordinator for West Palm Beach reporting and mass notification via AUDIX.
Compile and submit reports as required.
Develop and implement department instructions as required.
Interact with all levels of management.
Administer the Palm Beach International (AUTEC) assigned parking program.
Assume the duties of the Physical Security Chief in that person's absence.
Act as Primary Trainer and point of contact for training and performance efficiencies related to West Palm Beach/ASD Pass & ID functions and responsibilities.
Administer Lenel badging and troubleshoot and repair hardware.
Perform other duties as assigned.
