The Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician provides bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting 2–3 facilities and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The position offers full-time or part-time schedules, with no night, call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Full-time physicians generally work 4–5 weekdays, while part-time physicians work at least 3 weekdays per week. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. This is a W-2 employment position; work visa sponsorship is unavailable. The stated salary range is $200,000–$350,000 per year, and W-2 physicians are reported to earn an average of $300,000 per year for a 30-hour work week.
