About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a full-time Phone Triage Registered Nurse for Baptist Internal Medicine Group at Baymeadows in Jacksonville, Florida. The nurse's primary responsibility is phone triage, supporting 10 providers in a busy, fast-paced office. The role also involves interacting with patients face to face and supporting office clinical workflows. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensed Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities
- Triage telephone calls.
- Interpret symptoms and communicate the plan of care.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans.
- Manage medication prior authorizations.
- Coordinate workflow related to clinical questions.
- Room and triage patients for providers.
- Review and respond to clinical messages received through the patient portal.
- Use strong communication and documentation skills.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by office needs.
