About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a full-time Phone Triage Registered Nurse at Baptist Pediatrics on San Jose in Jacksonville, Florida. The role is a weekday day-shift opportunity, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The nurse’s primary responsibility is phone triage, supporting 10 providers in a busy, fast-paced office. The position also involves face-to-face interaction with patients.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensed Registered Nurse.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Triage telephone calls.
- Interpret symptoms and communicate a plan of care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans.
- Manage prior authorizations for medications.
- Coordinate workflow related to clinical questions.
- Room and triage patients for providers.
- Review and respond to clinical messages received through the patient portal.
- Use strong communication and documentation skills.
- Perform additional responsibilities based on office needs.
