About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a full-time Phone Triage Registered Nurse at Baptist Pediatrics on San Jose in Jacksonville, Florida. The nurse’s primary responsibility is phone triage, supporting 10 providers in a busy, fast-paced office. The role also involves face-to-face interaction with patients and may include additional responsibilities based on office needs. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Highly organized and comfortable interacting with patients face to face.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Triage telephone calls.
- Interpret symptoms and communicate the plan of care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans.
- Manage medication prior authorizations.
- Coordinate workflow related to clinical questions.
- Room and triage patients for providers.
- Review and respond to clinical messages submitted through the patient portal.
- Use strong communication and documentation skills.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required based on office needs.
