About The Position

The Triage Registered Nurse provides nursing care services under the direction of the office Practice Manager and Physicians. The role includes phone triage, responding to test results, processing medication refills and prior authorizations, conveying plans of care, and providing patient education and teaching. The nurse also reviews and responds to patient messages through NorthShore Connect and documents care in Epic, the electronic medical record. This part-time position is based in Round Lake Beach, Illinois, and is scheduled for 20 hours per week. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Saturday coverage from either 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Travel to other sites may be required based on departmental need. The hourly pay range is $35.15 to $54.48, with the offered rate determined in part by the candidate’s expertise and years of experience.

Requirements

Current professional nursing licensure in the State of Illinois.
Graduate of an NLN-accredited school of nursing.
BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider.
At least 1 year of nursing experience in an office or hospital setting.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
