About The Position

Vitalant is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist to provide blood collection services in Northern Arizona. No prior phlebotomy experience is required; paid training is provided. Most days involve conducting a blood drive on a mobile bus, while some days involve working with donors at a local donation center. The role includes travel throughout Northern Arizona, averaging 1–3 overnight trips per month as needed. Vitalant covers meals and hotel accommodations and provides a company vehicle for travel.

The schedule is Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday. Employees must be available to be scheduled between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m.; schedules are based on business needs and provided three weeks in advance. The listed start date is December 14, 2026. The position is based at 1524 West 14th Street #120, Tempe, Arizona 85281.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the service area, including overnight hotel stays.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and help keep them comfortable and informed.
• Perform blood draws after completing paid training.
• Manage donor information accurately and in an organized manner.
• Set up, operate, and break down equipment at mobile blood drives.
• Package and transport blood products according to established procedures.
