About The Position
The Phlebotomist Technician will perform laboratory specimen collection, including high-volume inpatient draws and collections involving difficult sticks. The role includes collecting blood cultures, PKU/newborn screening samples, specimens for glucose tolerance testing, and urine, throat, and MRSA specimens. Eight- or 10-hour shifts are available, with possible weekend and holiday work. Applicants must have a permanent address more than 50 miles away.
Requirements
- Two years of hospital phlebotomy experience.
- Comfort with difficult sticks and high-volume inpatient draws.
- BLS certification required.
- Permanent address outside a 50-mile radius.
