About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the Respiratory Therapy unit and provide high-quality care to adult patients. The position involves performing numerous procedures daily, responding to clinical calls, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. The therapist will work in a high-acuity ICU setting and must be able to perform in high-pressure environments while maintaining compassionate patient care. The schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week, and four weekend shifts per month, with holiday rotation as needed. Staff are required to wear black scrubs during shifts.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, required for Arizona licensure.
• Arizona RT license must be in hand prior to start.
• At least 2 years of strong ICU experience.
• Proficiency with Cerner or a similar electronic health record system.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to perform in high-pressure environments while maintaining compassionate patient care.

Nice To Haves

• NICU experience.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bronchoscopies and provide respiratory support to patients.
• Use respiratory equipment including Servo I, Jets, and Oscillators.
• Manage patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting.
• Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) assessments.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as needed.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Response Team during calls.
• Validate skills during orientation and ongoing assessments.
