About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides high-quality respiratory care and therapy to adult patients, with a focus on critical care. The role is part of a high-acuity Respiratory Therapy Unit caring for critically ill patients, where team members collaborate to maintain high standards of care. The position requires 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week, with rotating weekend shifts and holidays based on unit needs. Black scrubs are required.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Valid Arizona Respiratory Therapy license in hand.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a respiratory therapy role.
• Strong ICU experience.
• Proficiency operating and managing respiratory care equipment, particularly Servo I, Jets, and Oscillators.
• Familiarity with Cerner and other clinical documentation systems.
• Teamwork, excellent communication skills, and strong time management abilities.

Nice To Haves

• NICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory support and therapy to adult patients in accordance with best practices and protocols.
• Assist with bronchoscopies.
• Manage mechanical ventilation equipment, including Servo I, Jets, and Oscillators.
• Respond to Clinical Response Team calls and collaborate with team members to deliver patient care.
• Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results to guide treatment plans.
• Participate in shift rotations, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient care activities according to established standards.
