About The Position

Omnicare is seeking a Back-End Pharmacy Technician to support medication fulfillment and regulatory standards for patients in a closed-door pharmacy setting serving long-term care facilities. The role rotates among assigned pharmacy workstations and supports packaging and dispensing medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotation. The position is employed by Omnicare, which is transitioning to an independent, standalone organization following its sale by CVS Health.

Requirements

• Be a certified, licensed, or registered pharmacy technician, as required by state law.
• At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• PTCB National Certification.
• At least five years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Rotate and work in assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
• Receive product deliveries, pull and stage products for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely.
• Perform physical inventories of medication.
• Support order fulfillment, including packaging and dispensing medication and reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
