About The Position

Omnicare, a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, is transitioning to an independent, standalone organization. The hired individual will be employed by Omnicare and support its continued operations and growth. The Back-End Pharmacy Technician works in a closed-door pharmacy setting to help meet medication needs and regulatory standards for patients. The role rotates among pharmacy workstations and supports order fulfillment, including packaging and dispensing medication, checking delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations. The technician also receives deliveries, stages and distributes products, coordinates with drivers to support accurate and timely shipments, and performs physical medication inventories.

Requirements

Be a certified, licensed, or registered pharmacy technician, as required by state law.
Have one or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
Have a verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
PTCB National Certification.
Five or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Rotate and work in assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
Receive product deliveries, pull and stage products for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely.
Perform physical inventories of medication.
Support order fulfillment in a closed-door pharmacy, including packaging and dispensing medication and reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
