About The Position

Omnicare, a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, is hiring a Back-End Pharmacy Technician to support medication order fulfillment in a closed-door pharmacy setting. Omnicare is continuing operations as an independent, standalone organization following its sale by CVS Health; the successful candidate will be employed by Omnicare.

The technician works across assigned pharmacy workstations to support packaging and dispensing medications, check delivery orders and bins for accuracy, coordinate stock rotations, and help ensure medication needs and regulatory standards are met. The role includes receiving deliveries, staging products for distribution, coordinating with drivers to ensure accurate shipments and timely deliveries, and performing physical medication inventories.

Requirements

• Hold pharmacy technician certification, licensure, or registration, as required by state law.
• Have at least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.
• Have a verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• PTCB National Certification.
• Five or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Rotate and work in assigned pharmacy workstations, including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill, and Machine Packaging.
• Receive product deliveries, pull and stage products for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with drivers to ensure accurate shipments and timely deliveries.
• Perform physical inventories of medication.
• Support packaging and dispensing of medication and review delivery orders and bins for accuracy.
• Help ensure medication needs and regulatory standards are met for patients.
