About The Position

The Pharmacy Tech (Non Certified) provides efficient and courteous customer service in the pharmacy department. The role supports prescription processing, assists customers with over-the-counter products, handles transactions, and helps maintain department supplies and cleanliness. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Answer telephone calls and handle questions that do not require a pharmacist’s expertise or judgment.
• Receive written prescriptions and telephone refill requests.
• Gather and record information needed to prepare and dispense prescriptions.
• Store written prescription forms after prescriptions are dispensed.
• Enter data into the computer.
• Stock over-the-counter products and assist customers in finding them.
• Place completed prescriptions in the pick-up area.
• Assist with preparing insurance claims and verifying payments.
• Maintain a clean department and work area.
• Assist in maintaining and stocking pharmacy department supplies.
• Operate the cash register.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
