About The Position

As a Pre-Grad Intern on Walmart’s pharmacy team, you will gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting while supporting patient care and the team’s goals. The role focuses on customer service and the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. You will help improve customer health and wellness and advocate for patient wellbeing. The role also includes maintaining the confidentiality of information and records, supporting prescription and over-the-counter transactions, assisting patients with clinical therapies, and handling merchandise and supplies.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be able to respond to individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
