About The Position

Join Walmart’s pharmacy team as a Pre-Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role supports patient care and pharmacy operations, with a focus on customer service and the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The intern helps customers with their health and wellness, advocates for patient wellbeing, and contributes to the pharmacy team’s goals.

Requirements

Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
Build effective relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
Address individual patient needs.
Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
Support patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
