About The Position

Join Walmart’s pharmacy team as a Pre-Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role supports patient care and community wellbeing while helping the pharmacy team provide exceptional customer service and safely and efficiently deliver pharmacy products and services. The intern is paid and contributes to the team’s goals.

Requirements

Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
Have the ability to build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
Be able to address individual patient needs.
Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
