About The Position

Join Walmart's pharmacy team as a Pre-Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role supports customer health and wellness and patient wellbeing while helping the pharmacy team provide exceptional customer service and safe, efficient pharmacy products and services. The intern is paid and contributes to the team's goals and the company's success. The stated hourly wage range is $20.50–$33.50, with the actual rate meeting or exceeding the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and, for certain positions, a Regional Pay Zone adjustment based on location.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementation of best practices.
• Build effective relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Address individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and protected health information (PHI) guidelines.

• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records according to Company policies and applicable local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
