About The Position
Walmart is hiring a Pre-Grad Intern to support its community pharmacy team. The role offers paid, hands-on experience in a pharmacy setting, supporting customer service and the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The intern helps promote customer health and wellness and supports patient wellbeing.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
- Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
- Build effective relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
- Address individual patient needs.
- Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
Nice To Haves
- Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
- Support patient care by identifying patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
- Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
