About The Position

Join Walmart's pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role supports customer health and well-being, patient care, and safe pharmacy operations while following applicable legal requirements and company policies. Interns help process prescriptions and over-the-counter orders, assist patients in navigating clinical therapies, and support inventory and pharmacy-area maintenance. The position is based at 2900 Pike St, Parkersburg, WV 26101-8653.

Requirements

Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
Ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
Ability to cater to individual patient needs.
Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
