About The Position

Join Walmart’s pharmacy team as a Pre-Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role supports patient care and wellbeing while helping the pharmacy team provide exceptional customer service and deliver pharmacy products and services safely and efficiently. The intern is paid and contributes to the team’s goals and the company’s success. The position involves helping process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases, supporting patients as they navigate clinical therapies, and receiving and stocking merchandise and supplies. The intern also helps maintain pharmacy inventory and the pharmacy area, while protecting confidential information and following applicable company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines, including HIPAA and PHI requirements. The role is based at 2250 Lincoln Ave, Nevada, Missouri 64772-4258. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
Ability to build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
Ability to cater to individual patient needs.
Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

Protect confidential information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
