About The Position

The Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern supports Walmart’s community pharmacy team while gaining hands-on experience in patient care. The role helps improve customer health and wellness and advocates for patient well-being in an energetic pharmacy environment. Responsibilities include supporting the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services, processing prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases, assisting patients with navigating clinical therapies, and receiving and stocking merchandise and supplies. The position requires enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Have the ability to build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be able to address individual patient needs.
• Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
