About The Position

Walmart is seeking a Pre-Grad Intern to support its community pharmacy team and gain hands-on experience in patient care. The role contributes to customer health and wellness by supporting patient wellbeing and the safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The intern helps the pharmacy team meet its goals and supports the success of the company.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Address individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Protect confidential information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
