About The Position

Walmart is seeking a Pre-Grad Intern to join its community pharmacy team. The role provides paid, hands-on experience supporting patient care and pharmacy operations in an energetic environment. The intern helps promote customer health and wellness and advocates for patient wellbeing while contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy products and services. The position requires enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Have proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Be able to address individual patient needs.
• Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Protect the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
