The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all day-to-day activities affecting the people, operations, and merchandise in their division. The Pharmacy Manager must also see that the Pharmacy operates according to Walmart policy, professional standards, and provincial and federal regulations. This role involves leading the Pharmacy and OTC teams, managing operations to achieve plans and budgets, ensuring efficient scheduling, developing business action plans, maintaining accurate inventories, addressing customer complaints, and ensuring a clean and professional pharmacy environment. The manager will also cascade communication, execute assigned programs, build relationships with healthcare providers, and ensure the pharmacy is operational during posted hours. Additionally, the role includes supervising the OTC manager, ensuring excellent patient experience, accepting and filling prescriptions accurately and safely, counseling patients, proper storage of pharmaceuticals, operating pharmacy equipment, protecting patient privacy, and ensuring patients receive eligible services.
