Pharmacy Manager - Sign On - Relocation
About The Position
Meijer is hiring a Pharmacy Manager for its Danville, Illinois store. The manager plans, directs, and supervises the pharmacy team’s day-to-day operations, supporting safe patient care, strong team performance, and operational and financial results. Responsibilities include hiring and developing pharmacy staff, accurate prescription filling, scheduling, inventory control, financial management, clinical services, patient safety, and ensuring compliance with company policies and federal and state laws. The role includes a quarterly incentive opportunity of up to 10%, prorated based on start date and time in role. Relocation assistance is available to eligible candidates.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed pharmacist in the State of Illinois.
- Bachelor’s degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
- Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
- Certified Immunization Pharmacist, except in Indiana.
- CPR certification.
- Three years of experience in retail/community practice.
- Working knowledge of a pharmacy system and applicable policies and procedures.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in the state where the unit operates.
- Successful completion of all required certifications.

- One year of management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Select and hire staff to meet pharmacy staffing needs.
- Prepare and conduct performance reviews for pharmacists and technicians.
- Document and apply disciplinary actions.
- Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
- Implement and execute pharmacy programs covering financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, stock loss, security, patient services, and profitability.
- Educate and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Motivate team members and hold them accountable for results.
- Develop a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
- Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations, where permitted.
- Ensure pharmacy operations comply with Meijer policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
