About The Position

The Pharmacy Grad Intern supports Walmart pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting. The role contributes to customer health and well-being by supporting patient care, prescription and over-the-counter order processing, and pharmacy inventory activities. The pharmacy team focuses on customer care, safety, clinical care, and compliance with legal and company policies. The position is intended for someone enrolled in the final year of an accredited pharmacy school.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Cater to individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Support patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
