About The Position

Walmart is seeking a Pharmacy Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting while supporting customer health and wellness. The role contributes to pharmacy operations, patient care, customer service, and compliance with applicable laws and company policies. The intern helps process prescription and over-the-counter orders, supports patient needs, and receives and stocks pharmacy merchandise and supplies. The position is based at 4999 N Twin City Hwy, Port Arthur, Texas.

Requirements

Be enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
Have the ability to foster relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
Be capable of catering to individual patient needs.
Commit to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
Recognize patients, assess their needs, and help them navigate clinical therapies.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
