About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Pharmacy Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting while supporting customer health and well-being. The role helps the pharmacy team provide clinical care, promote patient safety, and comply with legal and company policies. The intern supports prescription and over-the-counter transactions, patient care, inventory, and pharmacy operations. Applicants must be enrolled in the final year of an accredited pharmacy school.

Requirements

• Enrolled in the final year at an accredited pharmacy school.
• Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
• Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Ability to address individual patient needs.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
