About The Position

Walmart is hiring a Pharmacy Grad Intern to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy environment while supporting customer health and well-being. The role helps the pharmacy team provide clinical care, protect customer information, and comply with applicable laws and company policies. The intern supports prescription and over-the-counter transactions, patient care, inventory, and pharmacy operations.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final year of an accredited pharmacy school.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementation of best practices.
• Build effective relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
• Address individual patient needs.
• Follow HIPAA and PHI guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Help process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
• Provide patient care by recognizing patients, assessing their needs, and helping them navigate clinical therapies.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
• Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
• Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
