About The Position

The Pharmacy Advocate serves as a patient liaison at AccessHealth, helping patients access pharmacy services and addressing social determinants of health that can affect medication access and adherence. The role focuses on patient advocacy, outreach, program support, and connecting patients with resources rather than transactional cashier duties or technical pharmacy functions. The advocate educates patients about pharmacy services and processes, assists with eligibility screenings and applications, supports medication-management initiatives, and helps patients use pharmacy technology and health-monitoring devices. The position also supports medication delivery to offsite clinics, collaborates with pharmacy staff and community partners, contributes to quality improvement and data reporting, and represents AccessHealth’s AmeriCorps program at community events. Training and professional development opportunities are provided.
